The challenge

To comply with my non-disclosure agreement, I have omitted confidential information in this case study. All information is my own and does not necessarily reflect the views of VIU.

VIU is an eyewear manufacturer from Switzerland with a strong focus on design not only for eyewear, but in the entire external appearance.

In 2023, I had the opportunity to take on a sabbatical replacement for the current UX/UI Designer. I collaborated closely with the product owner.

Case Study 1

VIU Store Search - Development and Visualization of the User Journey incl. UI Design

The challenge was to find several ways for the user to find the store of their choice (click on country list, click on map or via geo fencing). How does the display of the map behave according to different user behavior?

Vera, a talented UX/UI freelancer, and Agile Coach, proved to be an invaluable asset during our 7-8 month collaboration on multiple projects spanning our website's customer journey. With her expertise in both UX and UI, she provided exceptional support and guidance. Notably, Vera played a significant role in the conceptualization of a major migration project, contributing a wealth of innovative ideas. I would eagerly choose to work with Vera again due to the immensely enjoyable nature of our collaboration. Her consistent presence also as an Agile Coach ensured seamless project execution. What truly stands out about Vera is her ability to effortlessly generate concepts and designs, always surprising us with alternative approaches.

Case Study 2

Clickdummy for the sales app in the stores (iPad)

The aim was to create a click dummy in Figma that simulates all the process steps. The challenge was to display all the steps at a glance while at the same time showing the progress of the final product in the shopping cart, so that the store employees can concentrate fully on the sales process.

Case Study 3

Icon Development

The challenge was to create icons and symbols that have a consistent visual language and can be understood at first glance.
